If, as Christians ( see Acts, chapter 11 ( especially verse 26, for example ), for example ), we neglect to meet together, then we are robbing ourselves of the opportunity to learn about God's word, for example. When we study 2 Kings, chapter 11, for example, we will learn of a concept that God calls the little boy defense. Specifically, God's strategy for His children ( see Galatians 3:26, 27, for example ), in dealing with this sinful world, is for us to be hidden in His house — the church of Christ. This is the LORD's way of delivering us from our enemies, for in 2 Timothy 3:10-12, it is written, " 10 p You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, 11 my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me q at Antioch, r at Iconium, and s at Lystra — which persecutions I endured; yet t from them all u the Lord rescued me. "
Once we have learned what to do to be saved, that is, to be Scripturally baptized ( see Acts 2:38, 41, and 47 ( KJV, for example ), for example ), and are Scripturally baptized, then we will be declared kings, for example, by the Father in heaven. Also, the hearts of the children of man are full of evil, and h madness is in their hearts while they live, and after that they go to the dead. 4 But he who is joined with all the living has hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion. " In this latter passage of Scripture, a lion is to be equated with a sinner, for in Mark 8:36, it is written, " 36 f For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? " As Christians, members of the one, universal, New Testament church ( the church of Christ — see also Romans 12:1-8 ( especially verse 5, for example ) and Ephesians 1:15-23 ( especially verses 22 and 23, for example ), for example ), we are spiritual dogs, with the hope of gaining entrance into the kingdom of heaven on judgment day, if we will be faithful to God unto death ( see Matthew, chapter 19 ( especially verses 23-25, for example ) and Revelation, chapter 2 ( especially verse 10, for example ), for example ). A godly woman will not attempt to usurp the leadership role of the men in a local congregation of the church of Christ and, thus, she will not wrongly claim, or attempt to be, an evangelist, for example ( see James 4:7, for example ).
God mentions women of high social standing ( see Acts, chapter 17 ( espsecially verse 4, for example ), for example ), but their high standing does not qualify them to be evangelists ( nor does anything else ).
