The Ruthless Shall Come To Nothing.

In Isaiah 29:20 ( KJV; with center-column references ), it is written, " 20 For the 1terrible one is brought to nought, and athe scorner is consumed, and all that bwatch2 for iniquity are cut off. "  The Hebrew word ( Hebrew [ 6184 ] ) for the word " 1terrible, " in verse twenty, is defined as follows, namely: " fearful, i.e. powerful or tyrannical. "1  It is a sin ( see 1 John 3:4, for example; KJV, for example ) to be ruthless.

One such powerful or tyrannical person in the Bible, aside from Jezebel, was Athaliah ( see 2 Kings 11:1, for example, and please read this entire chapter to get the immediate context ).  She destroyed all the royal family, except for Joash the son of Ahaziah, and reigned over the southern kingdom of Judah for six years.  In the seventh year, Joash was crowned and proclaimed the rightful king, and Athaliah was put to death.  There are some women in this world who desire to proclaim themselves evangelists, but God has not granted women or denominational men that position of authority ( see John, chapter 14 ( especially verse 10, for example ), for example ).  In John 4:39-42, it is written ( please read all of this chapter to get the immediate context ), " 39 Many Samaritans w from that town believed in him x because of y the woman's testimony, ' He told me all that I ever did. '  40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there two days.  41 And many more believed z because of his word.  42 They said to the woman, ' It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, a and we know that this is indeed b the Savior c of the world. '"  Thus, men will recognize the gospel preacher when they hear him speak.

In 2 Kings 9:10, it is written, "' 10p And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the territory of Jezreel, and none shall bury her. '"  After the dogs ate Jezebel's dead body, only her skull, feet, and palms of her hands remained.  Is there a contradiction here?  No.  Elijah the Tishbite said that the dogs would eat the flesh of Jezebel, her corpse would be as dung on the face of the field in the territory of Jezreel, and no one would be able to identify her.

Finally, in Psalm 33:11, it is written, " 11w The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations. "  See also Proverbs 19:21, for example.  The LORD's counsel, in this context, is that the ruthless shall come to nothing.  Please study the Holy Bible.
