A Sower Went Out To Sow.

To prove, from the Scriptures, that Jesus was on the beach prior to sitting in a boat on the sea, the phrase " o and sat beside the sea, " in Matthew 13:1, has two cross-references, the first of which is to Mark 4:1-12: verse one reads as follows, namely: " 4 Again v he began to teach beside the sea.  And a very large crowd gathered about him, w so that he got into a boat and sat in it on the sea, and the whole crowd was beside the sea on the land. "  Since the phrase " was beside the sea on the land, " here, is equated with the phrase " stood on the beach, " in Matthew 13:2, we know that Jesus was on the beach prior to sitting in a boat on the sea.  This observation demonstrates one benefit of following the cross-references associated with a passage of Scripture.

As slaves of God ( see Romans, chapter 6 ( especially verses 3, 4, 10, and 22, for example ), for example ), for example, we can visit a beach.  However, we must be careful to avoid the sinners who are there.  The sinners ( see Matthew 26:36-46 ( especially verse 45, for example ), for example ) are usually dressed immodestly ( see 2 Corinthians 11:29 and 1 Timothy 2:9, 10, for example ) and drink alcoholic beverages ( see 1 Peter 4:1-6, for example ), for example.  As Christians, we would do well to visit the remote areas of a beach ( see 1 Timothy 5:22, for example ).

Matthew 13:2 is not the only reference to a beach in the Bible.  In Acts 27:39 ( please read all of chapters twenty-seven and twenty-eight to get the immediate context ), it is written, " 39 Now when it was day, g they did not recognize the land, but they noticed a bay with a beach, on which they planned if possible to run the ship ashore. "  This latter passage of Scripture is in the context of the shipwreck near the island of Malta.

As Christians, we are to be busy sowing the seed, the word of God ( see also John, chapter 8 ( especially verses 26 and 29, for example ), for example ).  Our goal is to persuade sinners to obey the gospel message and live for Christ ( see Luke 23:26-49 ( especially verse 33, for example; KJV, for example ); John 3:16, 17, and 36; 14:6, 15; Acts 15:1-21 ( especially verse 7, for example ); 2 Corinthians, chapter 5 ( especially verses 10, 11, 14, and 15, for example ); and Ephesians 1:1-14 ( especially verse 13, for example ), for example ).  Please examine the Scriptures daily ( see Acts 17:10, 11, for example ).
