My Weblog: The Gospel Preacher.

The Holy One and the Just is described in the following way in Mark 1:23-25, " 23 And there was in their synagogue a man with an aunclean spirit; and he cried out, 24 saying, Let us alone; awhat have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I bknow thee who thou art, the cHoly One of God.   25 And Jesus arebuked him, saying, 1Hold thy peace, and come out of him. "  Jesus of Nazareth never commits sin ( see Hebrews 4:14, 15, for example ).  In Matthew 4:18, 19, it is written, " 18 aAnd Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon b called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.  19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and aI will make you fishers of men. "

We must be willing to follow Jesus, because He is holy and just.  How many people in this world have followed someone, only to learn that he or she was a fraud and a swindler ( see 1 Corinthians, chapter 5 ( especially verse 11, for example ), for example )?  Such can be said of the heads of all religious denominations.

We can trust the Holy One and the Just, because He is the truth.  The Holy One of God cannot lie ( see also Titus 1:2, for example ).  He spent His 3½-year ministry on this earth doing only those things that pleased the heavenly Father ( see also John 4:34, for example ).

Jesus ( see Luke 8:50 ) said in 9:22, " aThe Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day. "  He did what He said.  Jesus condemned the scribes and Pharisees for preaching and not practicing ( see Matthew, chapter 23 ( especially verse 3, for example ), for example ).

The Holy One and the Just is not a politician.  He never says or does anything to win votes, for example ( see 2 Corinthians, chapter 1 ( especially verse 12, for example ) and 2 Peter 3:1, 2, for example ).  Jesus ( see Luke 19:9 ) said in verse ten, " 10 aFor the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. "

The Holy One of God ( see Mark 8:27 ) said in verse thirty-six, " 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? "  Winning the White House is equivalent to gaining the whole world.  Where are our priorities in this life ( see Matthew 6:33, for example )?

In Luke 18:22, 23, it is written ( please begin at verse eighteen, and read through verse twenty-seven, to get the immediate context ), " 22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: asell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.  23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. "  Follow the Holy One and the Just.  Please seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read ( see Isaiah 34:16, for example ). 🕮
