My Weblog: The Gospel Preacher.

In Matthew 1:18, it is written, " 18 Now the abirth of Jesus Christ was 1on this wise: When as his mother Mary was 2espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child bof the 3Holy Ghost. "  Jesus is love ( see Matthew, chapter 18 ( especially verse 35, for example ); John 3:16, 17; and 36; 10:30; and 1 John 4:8, for example ).  In Titus 3:3, it is written, " 3 For awe ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. "  Additionally, in Titus 2:11, 12, it is written, " 11 For athe grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present 1world. "  When one is Scripturally baptized, he or she is not spiritually mature at that point in time.  In Hebrews 5:11-14, it is written, " 11 Of whom awe have many things to say, and hard to 1be uttered, seeing ye are bdull of hearing.  12 For 1when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the 2oracles of God; and are become such as have need of amilk, and not of 3strong meat.  13 For every one that 1useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is aa babe.  14 But 1strong meat belongeth to them that are 2of full age, even those who by reason of 3use have their senses 4exercised ato discern both good and evil. "  At the point at which one is raised from the watery grave of baptism, he or she is a babe in Christ.  Living for Christ ( see 2 Corinthians, chapter 5 ( espeially verses 14 and 15, for example ), for example ) is a teaching process.  We must be instructed by God through Bible study, for example, how to live as Christians.  Therefore, although the apostle Paul ( see Titus 1:1 ) wrote ( see Acts 20:4 and Titus 3:12, for example ) of hating one another, for example, in the past tense, there always remains the possibility that there will be incidents of sinful hatred in a local congregation of the church.  A growing process is required ( see 2 Peter 3:18, for example ).

This was true of Jesus, as well, while He lived on this earth.  In Luke 2:51, 52, it is written, " 51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother akept all these sayings in her heart.  52 And Jesus aincreased in wisdom and stature, band in favour with God and man " ( Emphasis mine, R.E.W. ).  Does Jesus know everything?  No, He does not, for Mark 13:32, it is written ( please read through verse thirty-seven to get the immediate context ), " 32 But of that day and that hour a knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the bFather. "  Jesus does not know the day and hour of His second coming ( see also Luke 21:34-38, for example ).  This observation should enable us to accept our limitations ( see Job 21:22, for example ), as human beings, and realize that we do not know everything, nor should anyone expect us to.

Furthermore, in Hebrews 5:5-10, it is written, " 5 aSo also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, bTHOU ART MY SON, TO DAY HAVE I BEGOTTEN THEE.  6 As he saith also in another place, aTHOU ART A PRIEST FOR EVER AFTER THE ORDER OF MEL-CHIS´-E-DEC.  7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had aoffered up prayers and supplications bwith strong crying and tears unto him cthat was able to save him from death, and was heard din1 that he feared; 8 though he were a Son, yet learned he aobedience by the things which he suffered; 9 and abeing made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; 10 called of God an high priest aafter the order of Mel-chis´-e-dec. "  Jesus learned obedience by the things which He suffered on this earth.  If He can learn obedience, then we, as children of God ( see Galatians 3:26, 27, for example ), must learn it.

Jesus' ministry on this earth was 3½ years ( see Daniel 9:24-27, for example ) of perfection.  He never did, said, or thought anything sinful, for in Hebrews 4:14, 15, it is written, " 14 Seeing then that we have a great ahigh priest, that is passed 1into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, blet us hold fast our profession.  15 For awe have not an hight priest which cannot 1be touched with 2the feeling of our infirmities; but bwas in all points tempted like as we are, cyet without sin. "  Also, in 1 John 5:17, it is written, " 17 aAll unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. "  Sometimes we may think that we can think sinful thoughts without them being known, but God sees the mind, for example, of the righteous, for in Jeremiah 20:12, it is written, " 12 But, O LORD of hosts, that atriest1 the righteous, and seest the 2reigns and the heart, blet me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I 3opened my cause. "  In Romans 3:23, it is written, " 23 For aall have sinned, and 1come short of the glory of God. "  How often we fall short of God's glory with or evil thoughts ( see Matthew 15:1-20 ( especially verses 19 and 20, for example ), for example ), for example, but Jesus is always right.  Since He is always right, then it is His example that we must follow.  In 1 Peter 2:18-22, it is written, " 18 aServants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the 1froward.  19 For this is athankworthy,1 if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.  20 For awhat glory is it, if, when ye be 1buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is 2acceptable with God.  21 For aeven hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, bleaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22 aWHO DID NO SIN, NEITHER WAS 1GUILE FOUND IN HIS MOUTH. "

The Bible teaches that true religion is free of error.  In John 14:6, it is written, " 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am athe way, bthe truth, and cthe life: dno man cometh unto the Father, ebut by me. "  Since Jesus is true religion ( see also Acts 26:5, for example ) then Christianity is free of false doctrine.  Jesus ( see Matthew 4:18 ) said in verse nineteen, " Follow me, and aI will make you fishers of men. "  Jesus has commanded us ( see John 15:14, for example ) to follow Him, because He is free of false doctrine.  We can know that if we follow His perfect, sinless example unto death ( see James 1:12 and Revelation 2:10, for example ), then we will be granted entrance into the kingdom of heaven on judgment day ( see Matthew 7:21-27; 19:16-26 ( especially verses 23-25, for example ); and James 1:22, for example ).

Jesus became flesh and dwelt among us, so that we would have that pefect, sinless example to follow.  As human beings, one way we learn is by example.  If we learn Jesus, then we will learn the way to heaven.  Please seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read ( see Isaiah 34:16, for example ).  Please search the scriptures daily, as the Jews of Be-re´-a did ( see Acts 17:10, 11, for example ). 🕮
