My Weblog: The Gospel Preacher.

In John 4:50, it is written, " 50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth.  And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. "  Jesus has the power to speak and prevent someone from dying the physical death, which is the separation of the spirit from the body ( see Ecclesiastes 12:7, for example ).  As a Christian and full-time evangelist, I believe I would rather hear the Master ( see Matthew 23:8, for example ) speak, than to listen to the politicians at political rallies boasting on national television about how great they think they are.

Jesus ( see Matthew 11:25 ) said in verse twenty-nine, " 29 Take my yoke upon you, aand learn 1of me; for I am 2meek and blowly in heart: cand ye shall find rest unto your souls. "  We must learn to be meek and lowly, like Jesus.  This is what it means to be a child of God ( see Galatians 3:26, 27, for example ), for example.

We have a tendency to be selfish ( see Philippians 2:3, for example; RSV, for example ).  In Philippians 2:20, 21, it is written, " 20 For I have no man alikeminded, who will 1naturally care for your state.  21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. "  God commands us to sincerely care for others.

Jesus knows what is in man, and He sincerely cares.  Why else would He have died on the cross of Calvary for the sins of all those who will keep His commandments ( Christians, members of the church of Christ — see Exodus, chapter 3 ( especially verses 10-17, for example ); chapter 14; 24:1-8 ( especially verse 8, for example ); Psalm 50:5; Luke 22:14-23 ( especially verse 20, for example ); 23:26-49 ( especially verse 33, for example ); John 10:11; 14:6, 15; 15:12-14; Acts 2:38, 41, and 47; Romans, chapter 6 ( especially verses 3, 4, and 22, for example ); 12:1-8 ( especially verse 5, for example ); 16:16; 1 Corinthians 10:1-5 ( especially verse 2, for example; New Testament; The [ expanded ] Bible™; Study The Bible While You Read, for example ); 12:12-31 ( epsecially verses 20 and 27, for example ); and Ephesians 1:15-23 ( especially verses 22 and 23, for example ); 5:25-27, for example )?  His sacrifice on the cross provides the opportunity for eternal salvation ( see also Matthew, chapter 19 ( especially verses 23-25, for example ), for example ): we have to be Scripturally baptized in order to be saved.

If Jesus did not care about others, then why would he have said, " Follow me, and aI will make you fishers of men " ( see Matthew 4:19 )?  The apostle Paul ( see 1 Corinthians 1:1 ) wrote ( see 9:1; 16:21, for example ) in 11:1, " Be aye 1followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. "  Jesus knows that the only way to gain entrance into the kingdom of heaven on judgment day is for us to live exactly the way He did during His 3½-year earthly ministry ( see Matthew 7:21-27; John 8:26, 29; and 1 Peter, chapter 2 ( especially verses 21-23, for example ), for example ).

Children do not need a village to raise them.  They need Christian parents who will pray for them, for example, to God in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ ( see Ephesians 5:20, for example ).  The Master will hear those who ask according to His will, and He will say, " Go thy way; thy son liveth. "  Please seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read ( see Isaiah 34:16, for example ). 🕮
