My Weblog: The Gospel Preacher.

In Revelation 20:2, it is written, " 2 And he laid hold on athe dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. "  The devil deceives the whole world, for in Revelation 12:9, it is written, " 9 And athe great dragon was cast out, bthat old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, cwhich deceiveth the whole world: dhe was cast out 1into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. "  The phrase " athe great dragon was cast out, " in verse nine, has a cross-reference to John 12:31, which reads as follows, namely: " 31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall athe 1prince of this world be cast out. "  The equivalent translation for the word " 1prince, " here, is the word " 1ruler. "1

The phrase " athe 1prince of this world be cast out, " here, has a cross-reference to 2 Corinthians 4:4, which reads as follows, namely: " 4 In whom athe god of this world bhath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest cthe light of the 1glorious gospel of Christ, dwho is the image of God, should shine unto them. "  Jesus ( see John 8:42 ) said in verse 44, " 44 aYe are of your father the devil, and the blusts1 of your father ye will cdo.  He was a murderer from the beginning, and dabode2 not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.  When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh 3of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. "  Whether he is called the great dragon, Satan, the prince of this world, or the god of this world, for example, the devil does not abide in the truth.

There is no truth in Satan.  Therefore, he stands opposed to the gospel message ( see Acts, chapter 15 ( especially verse 7, for example ) and Ephesians 1:1-14 ( especially verse 13, for example ), for example ).  He stands in opposition to the Godhead ( see John 10:30; 14:6; Romans, chapter 1 ( especially verse 20, for example ); and 1 John 5:6, for example ).

In 1 John 4:8, it is written, " 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. "  Since God is love, the devil is sinful ( see Psalm 119:65-73, 104, 142, and 151; Romans 15:1-4 ( especially verse 4, for example ); and 1 John 3:4, for example ) hatred.  Moreover, in 1 John 3:15, it is written, " 15 aWhosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that bno murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. "

In 1 John 2:16, it is written, " 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, aand the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. "  The prince of this world wants us to be proud, for example.  However, in Proverbs 16:18, it is written, " 18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before 1a fall. "

In Genesis 3:14, it is written ( please read this entire chapter to get the immediate context ), " 14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and adust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life. "  The dragon, as part of his punishment for deceiving Adam and Eve ( see 4:1, for example ), would eat dust all the days of his life.  Please search the scriptures daily ( see Acts 17:10, 11, for example ). 🕮
